A Pop of Paisley

Happy Sunday!  I trust and hope that each of you had an amazing and stylish week!  Today's look such a fun look for me.  It's flirty, feminine, and free flowing.  I had such a fun time shooting this look in uptown Charlotte with my photographer, Glen, and my part time assistant/11 year old daughter who is responsible for most of the shots where I'm captured laughing, lol.

This look actually took quite awhile to put together.  If you're familiar with the blog, then you know that I shop quite a bit, however most pieces remain in my closet for months at a time until I can find the perfect compliment.  As is the case on today!  This look actually began with this AMAZING blush and hot pink lace Ted Baker London skirt I purchased approximately a year ago (and this is my first time wearing it, lol).  I snagged this beauty at Nordstrom while out shopping with my BFF.  The color and feminine touch of lace is what initially caught my eye.  And then I saw that it was on sale, and that sealed the deal.  I absolutely love Ted Baker and have been a fan of his exquisite shoes for quite some time but had never come across any of his clothing until this skirt.  Needless to say, the skirt went home with me that day and has remained in my closet until now.

Fast forward to many months later after purchasing the skirt, that I stumble upon this unique pastel paisley print blazer in a local thrift/vintage store (Carolina Value Village).  Reminiscent of a Lilly Pulitzer ensemble, I didn't realize that this blazer was the yin to my skirt's yang.  Add the rockstud pumps (HERE) and a Kate Spade bag and we have ourselves a creative color frenzy.  I'll simply refer to it as A Pop of Paisley!
