Cocktails in the City

On last Saturday (January 2nd), myself and approximately 60+ women met up at the Longitude80 Bar for the 1st installment of my new social series Cocktails in the City.  Dubbed as an amplified cocktail hour (for women only), CITC serves as a way of connecting women of varying backgrounds for the purpose of engagement and entertaining.  In attendance were some of the area's leading ladies, stylish entrepreneurs, and media mavens.

I am so overjoyed with the turn out and engagement of the 1st CITC social.  When I brainstormed this new series I knew that I wanted to offer a social experience that would connect women like no other AND provide them the opportunity to connect for FREE.  There are so many local events with hefty entrance fees that often times yield little to no results and leave you feeling like you've been had.  That's no discredit to anyone else, it's just my observations from personal experience.  CITC is a great median that not only connects the women in attendance, but connects me as well with these women.  As an added bonus, we enjoy a cocktail, or two, or three, lol.

For the initial kickoff I knew I wanted a lush and unique venue to set the tone for future events to come and the staff at the Le Meridien were so gracious to allow us to meet at their lush hotel.  Initally we were to utilize their entire bar space, but that was under the impression of just a couple dozen attendees.  Fast forward to the night of the social and 60+ women showed which pushed us into the lobby lounge and it was sheer perfection!

We talked, we laughed, enjoyed cocktails, selfies and even more.  The ladies all looked chic and fabulous and there was such positivity in the room.  As an added bonus each lady was gifted with a takeaway from High Maintenance Boutique, to also include a 10% off discount code (enter CITC at checkout).  We also hosted two additional door prize giveaways, one being a Macy's gift card, and a t-shirt from High Maintenance Boutique.

Now on to what I wore . . . . . I wanted to go with something chic, yet comfortable, so I decided on this metallic pant suit.  I originally saw a similar print by Balmain worn by one of my favorite style bloggers, Style Is My Thing, and became obsessed with it.  To my surprise, I was in a local retail store and came across this pant suit that is very similar.
