CIAA 2016: Barbie Pink

Welp, it's Saturday, which means I made it through Thursday's Cocktails in the City, lol.  I've been on the go for what feels like a couple weeks juggling both my brands, Elle VJ and Dainty Dames Lingerie, and today I can finally rest (sort of).  Thursday night's CIAA edition of Cocktails in the City was a success and I enjoyed each and every minute of it.

For this installment of the series we deviated a little from our original format and showcased women owned businesses via table displays for our attendees to browse and shop.  I too showcased my other brand Dainty Dames Lingerie and it was received well by the ladies, most of whom loved the fact that I carry plus sizes up to a 4x.  As a result I booked another trade show towards the end of March to display the line to a different audience, so be on the lookout for invites to that event as well.

Now!  To what I wore . . . . if you follow the blog you may remember this little number from a post last summer titled "Shopping with Elle: The Look For Less".  I purchased this hot piece and never wore it so I thought CIAA as a fitting opportunity.  I forgot how much I loved this dress and why I purchased it, until I put it on!  The color is amazing and the fit is sublime.  It's flirty and sexy without showing off too much.  For the accessories, I went simple by pairing a pink Kate Spade flower ring, Obaku rose gold watch, and chandelier earrings with a hint of pink.  As for the shoes, these pink and red platform pumps (similar to Charlotte Olymia) were a knock out deal for only $7.99 (clearance price) that I purchased last November (read HERE). Check out some of the pics below captured during the event and feel free to check out the shoppable links.
